Being a member of the Rotorua Honey Bee Club enables us to not only share knowledge to assist each other but also to access expertise through guest speakers which we as individuals would not have contact with.

• Support system if in trouble or have questions. We try to team up new beekeepers with experienced mentors.

• Meet other people with bees so you can learn and swap ideas.

• Group deals on varroa treatments, nucs and hive equipment.

• Access to a growing beekeeping library.

• Ability to hire the club extractor and other equipment for a nominal rental.

• Information on what is happening at a national level if you are interested.

Club funds are put towards equipment, books, room hire, bulk purchases and guest speaker remuneration.
